2010 Vatnajokull glacier Iceland

Dixie and Sam, who will together embark on the 2011-2012 expedition ( see www.antarcticice.be ) spent a very productive training expedition on the Vatnajokull glacier in Iceland. The meteorological data collection gear, new kites, prototype sleds and a new progression technique were put to the test, all confirming that the preparations are on track.
